The Totnes REconomy Project aims to be clear and transparent about how we use personal data. The Totnes REconomy Project and the REconomy Centre are initiatives of Transition Town Totnes.

What information do we collect about you?

Totnes REconomy Project collects personal data when an individual voluntarily signs up to our newsletters and mailing lists, and events, such as the Local Entrepreneur Forum, Community of Dragons and Project Design Hackathon. This information is usually name and contact information is always voluntarily given.  Website usage information is collected using cookies.

How will we use the information about you?

We use personal contact information to communicate with you about our news and events, and local community events, via the Totnes REconomy Newletter which is published several times a year. Other information is used in the context of event participation.

We use your information collected from the website and social media to track the demographic of people interacting with us. Data will not be identifiable.

Will we share your personal data?

We will never share your personal data with anyone outside of Totnes REconomy Project, except when required to do so legally ie to law enforcement agencies.

Your personal data will not be shared between separate Transition Town Totnes projects- if you are on a mailing list for one project you will not be added to any other Transition Town Totnes mailing lists.

How can you access, delete, or amend your personal data?

Under EU data protection regulations (GDPR) individuals have specific rights regarding their personal data:

• The right to be informed about how personal data is being used

• The right to access one’s personal data

• The right to prevent use of personal data

• The right to correct or erase personal information

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and we will let you know within 30 days. You can also ask us to correct or erase your personal information.
